The University of Music, Drama and Mediain Hanover, Germany have recently publisheda study investigating the effect of tDCS onthe fine motor control in patients with focalhand dystonia, a neurological movement disorderthat affects professional musicians.They tested various tDCS settings in affectedpianists and found that only behavioraltherapy assisted by anodal bihemisphericstimulation improved dystonic symptomsand fine motor control of the fingers.The improvement lasted for a few days.
